This survey is for the sole purpose of capturing the views of the Scottish Business Diaspora. It is a joint undertaking by The Scottish Business Network and Momentous Change Ltd.

The survey allows respondents to be anonymous. Only if respondents wish to be involved in further stages of research, or want a copy of our final report, are they invited to supply contact details. If respondents voluntarily choose to do so we ask for their name, email address and a telephone number. We do not capture any other personal data.

We ask for name and contact data on a voluntary basis for two reasons: First to allow us to undertake follow- up telephone interviews where respondents have volunteered, and secondly to use emails for two potential purposes. First, to liaise with respondents prior to telephone interviews and secondly to provide a copy of the final report.

No individual or business will be identified in our report.

The data will not be shared with third parties and will only be used for survey and interview purposes.

All personal data supplied: Name, telephone number and email, will be deleted no later than two weeks after completion of the final report. It is anticipated this will be before the end of March 2020.

Personal data is held securely within Survey Monkey. It is stressed no personal data will ever be shared with third parties.

No marketing or advertising data will ever be distributed on the basis of the information shared in this survey.

Individuals supplying private data have full rights of access, including the right to having their survey return deleted.

Should any issues arise where respondents wish to understand further their rights, the Data Protection Officer for this study is Professor Roger Mullin, contactable at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
